Pimp your pirate ship YOUR style in Pirates of the Burning Sea

These be MY colors, arr!

In their latest devlog, Flying Lab Software is proud to talk about how they can help you realize the pirate you’ve always wanted to be, through their User Content Migration feature in Pirates of the Burning Sea. No, they will not accept submissions of the Battleship Yamato as the player’s vessel. Moving on…

There’s going to be a specialized NPC in the game world who will deal in customized flags, sail designs… okay, just flags and sail designs, submitted through their community website. Once the FLS staff approve the design, they do some file conversion, and later on, the client visits the user-content NPC, finds his stuff among all the user-created stuff, and bam! You’re representing your hood with your colors, foo – er, (I mean) ye be flying ye very own colors of the Skull and Bones, arr, matey!

Before anyone starts thinking about plastering certain inappropriate content on their sails and flags, though, the admins and FLS staff are going to have a look-see over the content first. Hence, they also do the file conversions in-house. So forget it: you can name your ship the Jenna Jameson all you want, but you can’t flaunt it (We wonder if they’ll take “S**T HAPPENS” bumper stickers on the sails, though…).
