Point Blank for the DS takes aim at Europe
Calling all quickdraws out there, let it be known that Point Blank, a.k.a. Gun Bullet Trainer, will soon be making its way into European store shelves. Developed by Atari and based on the 1994 arcade game by Namco, this title makes undergoes a make-over for the Nintendo DS without straying too far from its light gun roots.
The game has already been released in Japan and North America during the middle of this year, and as promised, Europe gets a taste in the fourth quarter of 2006.
As for the gameplay, the light gun is essentially replaced by the stylus and touchscreen. A vast selection of mini-games are also there for the player to choose from, with 40 stages available, each with its own unique objectives and varying levels of difficulty. Missions can also range from protecting celebrities to getting rid of the wolves who want a bite from your lamb flock. In addition, there’s also an option to duke it out with another player via the DS wireless connection.
So, while we wait for this mini-shooter to finally make it into store, here are some screenshots to look at for now.
