Pokemon meets Jurassic Park in Fossil League: Dino Tournament Champion DS

Fossil League: Dino Tournament Champion

Fossil League: Dino Tournament Champion
(Dino Grand Prix in Japan) for the DS is a Pokemon clone with a twist. Instead of collecting and battling pocket monsters, the goal is to acquire dinosaurs from all across the different prehistoric eras. And yes, you get let them duke it out.

The gameplay takes players to prehistoric times as they complete a Dinopedia – a dinosaurs army. There are more than a hundred different dinosaurs, all depicted quite accurately in 3D. During battle sequences between thunder lizards the touch screen can be used to command the creatures. The stylus can also be used to excavate fossils along the way.

Like Pokemon, competition against other players takes place wirelessly on other local Nintendo DS systems. Unfortunately, trading of dinos is not allowed.

Fossil League: Dino Tournament Champion from D3Publisher is set to be released this month.
