Portal: Holiday greeting video from Aperture Science

The cake is not a lie. Well, at least it doesn’t seem to be according to Valve Corporation‘s Portal  (Xbox 360, PS3, PC) holiday greeting video. Ok, we’ve been fooled before, but the video seemed sincere enough and had ample coverage of cake. It seems like a pretty nice gesture from the Aperture Science research corporation.

If you haven’t played Half-Life 2 (Xbox 360, PS3, PC), you might want to know what the Aperture Science research corporation is. This fictional company from the Half-Life universe was tapped by the U.S. Government to conduct research on Portal technology. a phenomenon aptly described as a “man-sized ad-hoc quantum tunnel through physical space with possible applications as a shower curtain”

By now, you may have realized that Portal is a game that doesn’t take itself too seriously. That said, we’re not going to keep you any longer from the video. Enjoy! Oh, by the way, the Weighted Companion Cube makes a nice cameo appearance in the vid. We doubt you’ll miss it.
