It’s an FPS that dares to be different, and from the looks of this trailer for Borderlands (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) it certainly brings to mind one honest impression: to survive in a hostile alien environment, you’ll need guns. Lots of guns.

At least, that’s what one of the characters in this minute-long trailer for Borderlands has to say about living on the planet Pandora. Much like Pandora’s Box, all manner of ghastly monstrosity happens to live upon the world. Find the trailer after the jump!

At least, that’s what one of the characters in this minute-long trailer for Borderlands has to say about living on the planet Pandora. Much like Pandora’s Box, all manner of ghastly monstrosity happens to live upon the world, so people have to be careful to not fall prey to the wildlife and bandits of Pandora.

In any case, you can view the trailer below. Borderlands is expected to be released sometime during the fourth quarter of 2008, so folks may have to wait a while for the game. Still, from the looks of this trailer, the wait might be well worth it.
