The Master Control Program (MCP) does not comment, but it does not hide these screens of Disney Interactive’s Tron and Discs of Tron arcade conversions for the Xbox 360. The MCP also announces that these two games will be released this summer in honor of the 25th anniversary of the cult classic “Tron.”

Which, given that movie’s plot, it’s certainly weird for a computer program to celebrate its own demise. We don’t see XP doing that after Vista’s release.

Presuming you’re too young to remember the film, the two arcade games, its references in Kingdom Hearts II, and how to use Wikipedia… Tron recreates some of the digital-world games of the movie, the battle-tank game, the iconic light-cycle race, the grid bugs and the final battle against the MCP itself. Discs of Tron, on the other hand, revolves around one game only, the jai alai-esque beat-the-b******-with-a-Frisbee game. The Xbox 360 conversions will feature both original and enhanced graphics.
