Space. It’s the perfect place to watch things go “boom.” Okay, maybe we have to take some creative liberties with the laws of physics so we can actually hear the explosions, but that’s never stopped us from enjoying some good old space shooters like Project Sylpheed. An Xbox 360 exclusive from Square Enix, this sci-fi arcade shooter has been generating some pretty loud buzz since it was announced, and now we have the game’s second trailer just for your discerning eyes and ears.
What starts out as a Macross-esque exercise in space opera dramatics (complete with flowers floating in space) quickly goes into explosion overdrive as gunports come to life and some mad dogfighting gameplay action is shown. No joke, this trailer – short as it may be – made us want to step into our time machine and jump forward to Project Sylpheed‘s December 31 Japanese release date.
