PS3, 360 Devil May Cry 4 Collector’s Edition announced

Though a Special Edition DVD of Devil May Cry 4 has been revealed (for Japan at least), a recent press release from Capcom just announced a Collector’s Edition for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Retailing for US$ 79.99 early next year, it will include a bonus DVD of Devil May Cry: The Animated Series (Volume 1), a Steelbook case, and another bonus DVD filled with “making of” featurettes, DMC4 music, concept art and sketches, and other desktop media. Bang for your buck, much? Oh yes. Nero swears by it.

The Special Edition may contain behind-the-scenes footage, but the Collector’s Edition will give you more bang for your buck.

To be released on February 5, the Devil May Cry 4 Collector’s Edition will include the following:

• Devil May Cry: The Animated Series (Volume 1)
• a Steelbook case
• a bonus DVD with extra media

The DVD disc for the animated series will contain the first four episodes (out of the total 12 in the series). As for the bonus DVD, you can pop it into your PCs and treat yourselves to “making of” featurettes, music from the official DMC4 soundtrack, concept art and sketches, and other desktop media like wallpapers, screensavers, and icons.

Volume 1 of the DMC: The Animated Series will simultaneously be released in retail as its own SKU, but this’ll set you back for US$ 29.99. The Collector’s Edition package, however, will retail for only US$ 79.99, so if you’re planning to get the DVD of the animated series, we’d suggest you pick up the bundle itself.
