It looks like the latest PS3 firmware 3.41 did not only add a nifty new feature on Sony’s hardware, it also introduced some new problems on the console, especially for those who are trying to upgrade their internal hard drive. According to a tip sent to us by a certain johnny:

“It has come to the attention of many PS3 owners that after they have updated their systems to firmware 3.41, it is impossible to install a new hard drive and in some cases, is crashing systems. There have been numerous reports of people who are trying to install new hard drives after being initially prompted to install firmware 3.41 via other media. No one seems to be able to get through the installation process with the full firmware update (via cd, or multiple flash drives) that was downloaded directly from the Sony website. Many people have contacted Sony in response to the issue, but have been met with responses such as “I don’t know what you are talking about” and “this is the first I’m hearing about it”.”

But that’s not all, while digging inside the official PlayStation forums, we also spotted various users posting other problems such as system crashes, game freezing issues and disc errors after the said update. Anyone of you guys having problems with the update?
