PS3 Flow flOw flow FLOW eating video

We’re going to all have to agree on how to write the name of this game. Flow flOw flow FLOW. Anyway, flOw, which y’all should have downloaded and tried by now, is a beautiful, simple, engaging, and very fun game for the PS3 (we’ve been impressed with it since it came out at TGS). It’s rare to have most of the QJ bloggers agreeing on one title, but this one goes on almost everybody’s wish list.

One thing we liked about the game was the fact that learning how to play it is very intuitive. You only need to know the basics: holding down the button accelerates, eating the red microorganisms (the ones that make red echo pings) will take you deeper into the sea, eating the blue ones will take you up. If you see a big creature, it might try to eat your glowing cells, and you have to it the creatures glowing cells to defeat it. (Watch the video if you don’t understand.)

The PS3 version is developed by thatgamecompany based on Jenova Chen‘s Flash game.

What’s the game about? ***SPOILER ALERT*** You play a worm-like organism. You eat. You avoid being eaten. You grow. And when you get to the deepest part of the ocean and eat the “boss,” a cool thing happens: you become a jellyfish-like organism. Then you float back to the surface and start all over. ***END SPOILERS***
