PS3 gets its Shivering Isles expansion too
Here’s some great news for all those PS3 fans who were waiting patiently for Bethesda‘s beloved RPG to hit Sony‘s console. In addition to a release of the Shivering Isles expansion for the PC and Xbox 360, Bethesda has confirmed the expansion’s future arrival on the PlayStation 3.
Now, they’re hoping to get this expansion out before the year ends, but perhaps they shouldn’t be getting ahead of themselves, right? The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is still slated for a February and March release in America and the UK respectively, so we’d like to see them make good on that release date first before they tempt us with the promise of a sequel so close to the original game’s launch.
For the folks in the UK, it’s going to be an interesting launch day, as Oblivion will actually be one of the launch titles when the console starts getting sold over there. Of course, don’t expect the expansion to be there with the game, but if we’re really lucky, then we might just see the PS3 release of Oblivion come with more than just the Knights of the Nine pack in it.
