PS3 getting Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion

The bad news is that PlayStation 3 owners won’t be getting to play Tekken 6 on their home consoles. The good news is that they’ll get Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion instead. This was revealed in a recent podcast from IGN covering Namco Bandai‘s pre-TGS event.

For those who haven’t heard about it yet, Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion is a Tekken 6 update featuring new characters, stages, items, and customization options. The PS3 release will also have more content than the arcade release, so that’s another plus.

There’s no news yet on when the game will be released for the PS3, but since Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion is scheduled for a December arcade release, chances are we’ll have to wait until early next year for it.
