PS3 Slim sells 40,000 in the UK in week one
The success stories continue to surface for Sony and the PS3. We already know that sales week-on-week grew 999%, and the Slim has already smashed old Japanese sales records. Adding to those today is MCV UK reporting that the slimmed-down model of the console sold 40,000 units in the United Kingdom in just the first week of release.

Adding to those today is MCV UK reporting that the slimmed-down model of the console sold 40,000 units in the United Kingdom in just the first week of release.
The number however, failed to surpass the PS2 Slim’s week one sales in the said region, which counted 50,000 units sold. Nonetheless, SCE UK sales director Mark Howsen did tell MCV that SCE is “extremely pleased” with how the console performed in its first week.
