Video interview with Fallout 3’s lead producer

Here’s another dose of radioactive Fallout 3 for you guys. The boys at GameTrailers were able to score an interview with Bethesda Softworks‘ lead producer, Gavin Carter about the upcoming video game.

Fallout 3 for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 is set 30 years after the events of Fallout 2. According to Carter, the in-game map is basically a “large chunk of the area around Washington D.C.” He revealed that the story will revolve around the disappearance of the player’s father and discovering what happened to him.

Another thing that was discussed is the difference between character progression in Oblivion and Fallout 3. Carter indicated that Fallout 3 is experience-based where players can level-up by completing quests and defeating enemies. He also discussed the effects of how players go about the quests. Destroy a town and lose the chance to complete the quests there, but another town gets accessible with other quests and things to do.

Plus he named Liam Neeson as the voice actor for the father character in the game. Interesting stuff. Anyway, check out the video to find out more about Fallout 3. We’ll bring you more info about this video game as it becomes available so keep checking back.
