PS3 wowed fans at TGS 2006

Gauging by the Japanese gamers reaction to the PS3, it looks like Sony‘s only problem (other than getting enough consoles out there) is where to place all that cash from PS3 sales. At TGS, gamers waited for up to 70 minutes to get their hands on the PS3, which has suffered from a lot of negative hype due to its high price, a 6-month delay and predicted shortages.

We weren’t there but Japanese gamers, aged 6 to 60, described the PS3 experience as if they had been launched to heaven and kissed the hand of God.

“The graphics are really great!”

“Great! Fun!”

“It’s just like cinema!”

“We’re going to buy one!”

“I am really surprised by the images!”

Now that the PS3 is set to hit Japanese stores on November 11 and its price reduced, the question is… is there a bank large enough to hold the cash heading Sony’s way?
