PSAFE v1 - anti-theft application for the PlayStation Portable - Image 1As coder TRStealthX said it himself, it is really not cool if your PlayStation Portable gets stolen. With this in mind, the developer has came up with an anti-theft application and released it on QJ.NET PSP Development Forum.

Called PSAFE, this specific program is somewhat similar to ATPSP released a couple of years ago. Know more after the jump!

PSAFE v1 - anti-theft application for the PlayStation Portable - Image 1For those who’ve been with QJ.NET for some time now, you might remember the program ATPSP from realn0whereman. It is actually an anti-theft application that allows you to track your PlayStation Portable online via an email.

Well, developer TRStealthX has just created a similar program and released it over at our PSP Development Forum. The nifty application is called PSAFE and is currently on version 1. Here’s how the coder described it:

When installed and configured properly, your PSP will know exactly when it’s not on your computer, or at your house. So if it ever gets stolen, it’ll send you an e-Mail along with the thief’s IP address.

So you can call local authorities, or hack the living crap out of the thief’s computer – whichever one you prefer.

PSAFE v1 comes with its own Readme.txt file that will provide you with additional information regarding installation and usage. Be sure to go over the documentation first before doing anything to maximize the program’s potential.
