PSP comics store going live today

Quick heads up for the comic fans out there. The PSP’s Digital Comics store is launching today in a bunch of different territories.

 

The official PSNComics Twitter account sets the ETA in the US for noon PST / 3:00 PM EST. The UK, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa will get the service at 5PM GMT according to the European PlayStation blog.

 

The EU PS blog also notes that the Comics Store was supposed to go live in Ireland today, but due to technical issues the launch in that territory has been pushed back to an unspecified date.

 

Sony has mentioned before that the Comics Store will have more than 500 titles available at launch. This includes stuff from Marvel, 2000AD, IDW, and Disney. Some of these will include creator audio commentaries.
