PSP gets graded: It’s a B

Measured and weighed

A full year and eight months later after its launch, Sony‘s Portable PlayStation Portable finally gets its grade from AOL-owned GameDaily. Their verdict? It deserves a B.

True, it is a “multifunctional gizmo” suitable for gamers and movie buffs always on the go. It’s got a great lineup of games, including  music playback, Web browsing, and media storage. So what more could you ask for? Cheaper price, for one. But then again, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s inadequately tagged. It’s just that, hey, who wouldn’t want to get a catch as good as this without having to drill holes in your pockets?

But regardless of that little glitch, GameDaily takes good note of the widescreen display, as well as the control setup. However, they do say that the analog nub can be confusing at times.

So what do they see for the PSP’s future? With a steady supply of new games like the upcoming knext Gran Turismo, it’s all set to remain steady. Although, again, a nice little chunk off its price would surely make it nicer (it’s currently at US$ 199.99).

Nintendo DS Lite got an A.
