Fredo38 releases HomeBot v0.1, a simple homebrew application for the PSP - Image 1

Anyone who’s gone through any sort of programming class will remember the classic “Hello World” programs our professors end up teaching to us. First time French homebrew developer Fredo38 brings to us his own version of a “Hello World” type of program which, according to tipster seanpaul223 (thanks!),  runs under any PSP custom firmware.

The program itself is fairly simple and shows the basics of how to run a homebrew application through the default settings of your PSP. To get the program running, just drop the folders contained in the archive on your PSP’s root directory then set it to “Auto Run program at PSP/GAME/BOOT/EBOOT.PBP” from the configuration menu in the PSP’s Recovery Mode.

Here are the list of features this simple program contains:

  • Correction of grammar mistakes
  • Displays the name of the PSP owner
  • Color for the text

Not bad for a first time programmer.

Thanks to seanpaul223 for the tip!
