Thrice the fun times thrice the dimensions time thrice the frustration. Exter has released a new version for his Rubik’s Cube homebrew game. If you’re familiar with how Rubik’s Cubes go (besides, we’ve had a handful of Rubik brew before from different authors too), then this shouldn’t come as a brainbender to you.
The rules are simple: just twist the rows of colors to have one solid color showing in one face of the cube. Here’s the changelog for v1.3:
- Back and Back Inverted moves.
- Cube solve and scramble animations.
- Move counter at the top right of the screen.
- Session saving.
There is actually a formula to solve the cube, one which I’ve tried once and successfully finished a cube. Don’t ask me about it again though – it was pure hell, even if I had the instructions on hand at that time.
