PSP homebrew dev XMBDebug has released a new version of his PSPrx Launcher app. This app is for those who can’t wait until the plugin-capable ChickHEN R3 launches. It basically lets you launch plugins under ChickHEN. Here’s the changelog for version 2.2:
- File Explorer that facilitates the choice of plugin.
- Improved compatibility of the launcher.
- Running PSX games! (Tested on 5.00M33-6, PSPFat)
That last bit was also tested on a PSP-3000, but apparently it won’t work. Loading plugins also seems to be a bit hit-or-miss. SOme plugins work, some don’t. The download doesn’t have a readme file and the app’s in Spanish, so here’s a translation of the menu courtesy of poster Johnny! on PSP-Hacks.
- First option: Start the search pluginsÂ…
- Second option: Exit the application (Quit to XMB)
- Last option: Press Triangle to run a PSX EBOOT
And here’s a video of it in action.
