Homebrew developer pegasus2000 has released a proof of concept demo for what could become a nice complement to his Nanodesktop Blind Assistant homebrew.

Pegasus2000’s new project is called Nanodesktop ndOpenCV CamShift. It’s based on the CamShift face tracking algorithm in Intel‘s OpenCV library.

It’s just a proof of concept right now, but it does open up a lot of possibilities for hands-free gaming on the PSP. CamShift was originally developed as a gaming interface, after all.

You can download the Nanodesktop ndOpenCV CamShift demo below. You’ll need a Go!Cam a PSP Slim for this to work. Pegasus2000 says that this app will also make it into the next Nanodesktop Blind Assistant release. For more info, click on the visit link below.
