PSP Protection Password v0.2 – PSP Slim support, fixes, additions

PSP Protection Password v0.2 from Dark_Moon - Image 1Dark_Moon has just released a quick update to his homebrew app PSP Protection Password released only yesterday. PSP Protection Password v0.2 now supports the PSP Slim; this new version also addresses some bugs and adds some new features.

As suggested by its name, PSP Protection Password adds a password function to your PSP’s bootup, allowing you to control who can use the device. Here’s the changelog for PSP Protection Password v0.2 from homebrew developer Dark_Moon:

PPP.exe

  • Utility for generate encrypted password.
  • You should generate your password with this utility. Later put the password.txt on the same folder of EBOOT.PBP

EBOOT.PBP (for PSP)

  • Now the app work on user mode.
  • PSP Slim support.
  • The password is encrypted.
  • Some bug fixes
  • Now, the application will lock the power button.
  • You can’t exit of the application. (Only there are two solution that are remove the battery or put the correct password)
  • If the password is false, the PSP will go to suspend mode else, it will go to XMB.
  • Letters effect on start the application.
  • Color of the numbers changed.
  • Removed HOME button for exit of the application.
