PSPirates V5c
Yeah, we were wondering about that quirky little detail. Apparently the previous version of PSPirates had a little bug in it. Good thing the PSPMex team was able to squash it out fast. They’ve released an update to their homebrew game, and as coder Mexicansnake says, it’s pretty much the same version as the last, but now with the bug is fixed.
In PSPirates v5c, you can now access the awards that you get in the game and view them in the “Gallery” section. The previous release somehow wasn’t able to show the unlockables, and now, it sort of works like a save state. That’s how the they got around into tweaking it. Mexicansnake stresses that this is “just a bug fix release,” but see, it’s the type of little bug that when fixed makes the whole game that much better.
As for future releases of this insanely fun button-masher of a game, the team is planning to create a new story mode, complete with the ability to sail your ship through areas of a new map, a treasure chart mode, night mode, more graphics, sounds, and animations.
