PSPKVM v0.1.0a
Sony PlayStation Portable homebrew developers sleepper and M@x have just recently come up with the latest version of PSPKVM, the result of their collaborative efforts to emulate the Java 2 Platform Micro Edition. With an updated build that should fix any crashes, this one should be worth the download if you’re into the simple (yet sweet) games on the Java platform. All the details in the full article.

With the merger of both PSPKVM and pspME out of the way, both Sony PlayStation Portable homebrew developers sleepper and M@x continued on their quest to deliver more Java 2 ME emulation joy for our Sony PSP handhelds. They’ve done just that with the latest version of PSPKVM, namely version 0.1.0a.
So, what’s the update all about? Well, as you might have noticed with the version number, it’s a bit of a minor update. However, do not confuse “minor” with “not important,” as the brief but meaty changelog will tell you. Here it is in full:
2008-02-18 18: 11 v0.1.0a
- Limited the heap size used by sound font to fix a crash bug
So it’s a fix to prevent more crashes? Definitely a new version to download, if one wants the Java game emulation happy to continue without any unexpected hiccups. As always, please make sure to read the relevant readme before doing anything with this homebrew. No one wants a brick, except if you’re building a Sony PSP brick house on the off-chance a wolf comes by.
