PSPsetX 0.3b for Firmware 2.0 Released

Placasoft from Team Emergency Exit released PSPsetX 0.3b for Firmware 2.0s today, which fixes a minor bug in the source code from before. In case you aren’t familiar with it, PSPsetX is a program used to ‘trick’ the firmware into thinking you have a higher version, and in this case it could potentially allow 2.0 users to play games that would normally require a 2.6 PSP. However, there are still many kinks to be worked out before this is fully functional. Many users are having their PSPs turn off after the first few loading screens, but a few lucky gamers have managed to get other titles working. Although this probably won’t be the final version, if there’s a new 2.6 game you’re just itching to try out, hopefully you won’t need to update.
