Here’s a bit of good news for the guys who’ve been enjoying the PSPTube homebrew application. Developer SofiyaCat has just released build 20071225 of the app, which is now available for public use.

For those tuning in for the first time, PSPTube enables you to view .flv video files associated with streaming sites like YouTube. This latest release appears to come with several new changes (translated via Babelfish). We’ll highlight the notes that should be easy to figure out:

According to the guys who’ve tried this new release (both here at QJ and at DCEmu), PSPTube will now allow you to save your Youtube videos. gamefreak199101 of the DCEmu forums was also kind enough to provide for a clear explanation of the controls:

• O- is to search for a video
• X- is to enter
• []- is to switch screens and make a side view of the video while watching
• Select- is to change between youtube,veoh and favorites
• Start- to pause during videos

We further warn the readers that while this new release appears to be more stable, it’s still a beta build. It’s still unstable, and may be susceptible to crashes.
