PSPVBA v1.0.2 – MAJOR Speed Improvement!

PSPVBA

I know you’ve all been expecting it, so here’s the v1.0.2 update of Zx-81’s PSPVBA GameBoy Advance emulator for the PSP. Zx’s releases are almost as consistent as QJ’s coverage on the latest PSP homebrew news! This major update comes just 3 days after the initial release of this VirtualBoyAdvance port for the PSP.

PSPVBA still features all that you would expect for a Zx release including sound and savegame support; as well as customizable key mapping and the ability to take screenshots. The sound support in this version is also a little jumpy, and is based on the work of psp298.

This update improves the speed of emulated Roms dramatically, which you will definitely notice. Along with this faster emulation speed comes much better sound quality due to Zx rewriting the code for sound support, new smoother render modes; Zip file support for those short on memory stick space, PNG screenshots instead of bitmaps and *gasp* many bug fixes.

As you can see, the list of improvements for this release is absolutely huge! This list basically places PSPVBA on the top of the GBA emulator tree, for having the most features and for speed. Why are you wasting time? Zx-81 didn’t whilst making this – download now!
