Remedy: There is no DLC #3 for Alan Wake, it was just a “misunderstanding”
A couple of days back, we reported that a third DLC is on its way come later this year for Alan Wake. This was let slip by Matias Myllyrinne of Remedy in an interview with MTV. Unfortunately, it seems that there seemed to be a slight misunderstanding as to this whole DLC thing.
A couple of days back, we reported that a third DLC is on its way come later this year for Alan Wake. This was let slip by Matias Myllyrinne of Remedy in an interview with MTV. Unfortunately, it seems that there seemed to be a slight misunderstanding as to this whole DLC thing.
A post at Remedy forums clarifies the mix-up, explaining that the DLC Myllyrinne was referring to was in fact that second one, The Writer. There is no unannounced third DLC.
Here’s the explanation provided:
“… it’s a misunderstanding: Matias is talking about “The Writer,” our second DLC pack, when he says there’ll be a further one out this year, not about a third pack. Apparently they thought he was talking about a completely new DLC thing.
Of course, it’s not inconceivable that there could be more than just two — that’ll probably have a lot to do with how the first two do, among other things — but let me reiterate we’re not working on anything like that right now. It’s just a simple misunderstanding!”
