Report: Fils-Aime mistaken about 2011 3DS release

Remember that 2011 3DS release NoA president Reggie Fils-Aime mentioned on Late Night? Yeah, reportedly he was ‘mistaken’ about that date.

 

 

 

 

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime proudly announced a 2011 release for the 3DS on national TV Friday. Thing is, Kotaku reports that some sources have indicated that that’s not quite accurate.

 

According to the sources, who are reportedly close to Nintendo Japan, Fils-Aime made an error regarding the new handheld’s 2011 release. Nintendo, however, still won’t say anything final about the 3DS’s North AMerican release date. They have said before that a release within the current fiscal year, which ends in March 2011, is what they’re shooting for.
