Harmonix has sent word that next week, they will be releasing The Cars’ eponymous debut album from 1978 as downloadable content.

For the fans, consider this a celebration of the album’s 30th anniversary. Here’s a lowdown of the songs the album will carry, each track being taken from the original master recordings:

  • My Best Friend’s Girl
  • Just What I Needed
  • I’m in Touch with Your World
  • Don’t Cha Stop
  • You’re All I’ve Got Tonight

Each song will cost you US$ 1.99 (160 Microsoft Points), while the complete album will cost US$ 14.99 (1200 Microsoft Points). The album is currently scheduled to arrive in Xbox Live on May 27 (Tuesday), and will arrive in the PlayStation Store by May 29 (Thursday).
