RUMOR: Nintendo’s wireless Nunchuk already in development?

Wirless Nunchuk already in the works?Yeah, you read the title right. A supposed wireless Nunchuk is in the works. Some sources have reported that this was brought about by complaints of how the dangling wire that links the two controllers becomes a distraction especially in games that call for wide movements.

This makes absolute sense, don’t you say so? If you think about it, Nintendo’s got all the reason to make these controllers wireless. It’s going to be all for the gamer’s benefit to have free movement while playing the Wii.

It’s speculated that this new wireless connectivity would have an adapter plugged into the wiimote to receive signals from the Nunchuk.

However, a Nunchuk won’t look like the actual martial arts weapon it was named after without the “link” that connects both ends. Introducing a wireless Nunchuk should call for a name-change in the controller’s product line, in that case.

As of now, there’s no official word from Nintendo, but you can bet your bottom dollar that we’ll keep you guys updated on this not-so-surprising-yet-widely-appealing rumor.
