Rumor: PSP Go features digital game rentals?

Since when were games cooked in tomato sauce? Apparently, we may be looking at a yet-to-be-announced feature for the new PSP, which could be pointing to the possibility of digital game rental.

Since when were games cooked in tomato sauce? Apparently, we may be looking at a yet-to-be-announced feature for the new PSP, which could be pointing to the possibility of digital game rental.

Of course, a few empty folders alone won’t be sufficient to point to that conclusion. But back in May, Sony already surveyed for the feasibility of such a feature, asking if consumers would be alright with gaming rentals for the PSP via the PlayStation Store. Without UMDs to rent, surely, this would seem like the digital counterpart.

The feature, actually, could not be limited to the PSP Go. Previous PSP models running on the latest firmware also have the same folders, so it might not simply be to due the lack of a UMD drive.
