RUMOR: Rainbow Six: Vegas to add Wiimotes to arsenal?
The question really is, “Did a bunch of foreign video game sales/retail sites inadvertently leak information that Ubisoft will release a Wii-specific Rainbow Six: Vegas?” After discovering that the Dutch version of Toys ‘R’, Bart Smit, had a preorder up for a Wii R6V, Play-Nintendo members thumped down the world wide web, finding more foreign preorder pages for a Wii R6V. One of the preorders even listed an availability of 30-03-2007 – end of March.
Nothing from Ubisoft about this yet. The last time they talked about a Wii R6V was back in July of last year, when they said there was no Wii R6V in development. Ubisoft has also been known for a few inadvertent leaks themselves, including the most high-profile, coming right before TGS 2006, but as of now, they haven’t said anything official about a Wii R6V.
Not that they couldn’t try, of course – so as long as they can make Splinter Cell Double Agent work on a Wii, control-wise, they could with R6, too. The other two questions – processing power differences and graphics – we can’t evaluate from where we sit; who knows what tricks Ubisoft might have in their programming pool.
