Rumor: SOCOM to get new DLC?

All we’ve heard about SOCOM: Confrontation lately is its delayed release in Europe. Here’s something to perk everyone up though – especially those in the US.

According to a Slant Six insider source, it looks like they’re prepping quite a huge DLC update for Confrontation. New maps, new weapons, a new faction? This looks huge!

All we’ve heard about SOCOM: Confrontation lately is its delayed release in Europe. Here’s something to perk everyone up though – especially those in the US.

According to a Slant Six insider source of Ripten, it looks like they’re prepping quite a huge DLC update for Confrontation. As listed, the DLC pack could include the following:

• five new maps (three new to Confrontation, two new to SOCOM series)
• new weapons, new attachments
• new Russian faction
• turrets for maps
• new character models
• two new game modes available in the new maps

Since there’s no official word from Slant Six or SCEA just yet, this goes into the rumor bin. Here’s hoping for confirmation!
