News flash, folks! Or rather, rumor flash. Word’s circulating around the web that Sony is conducting a survey asking gamers about potential hardware and software features for a new PSP. So they say.

News flash, folks! Or rather, rumor flash. Word’s circulating around the web that Sony is conducting a survey asking gamers about potential hardware and software features for a new PSP. So they say.

A Kotaku tipster sent in the details of the survey, and it showed that the participants had to rank of features that are not available on the current models of the PSP. Eye-catching would be the following items: touchscreen functionality, built-in GPS features, Bluetooth wireless support and internal data storage.

Here’s also a list of some of the supposed possible PSP features in the survey:

• Was smaller, yet retained most of the current PSP’s screen size
• Offered social networking functionality on the XMB
• Included a keyboard for easer internet browsing and communication
• Offered Bluetooth wireless support for easy pairing with other devices
• Had a touch screen
• Had an improved screen for more dynamic graphic displays
• Offered the ability to find others near you who want to connect for online gaming
• Offered an e-comic/book download service through the PlayStation Network
• Included a hard drive for memory storage
