This month’s issue of RuneScape‘s State of Play feature highlights significant improvements that should excite players of the popular browser-based MMORPG. According to the crew at Jagex Ltd, the anticipated summoning update, a new PvP minigame, and enhancements to the Grand Exchange will soon be in effect.

One of the most promising facets of RuneScape is summoning, which has been expected to reach new heights with the impending flurry of tweaks. Those who enjoy the presence of a non-human companion would be delighted to know that every familiar is now slated to have a “one stand-out ability that makes it awesome.” Changes are scheduled to go online by the end of the month.

Among other progressing aspects of RuneScape is the upcoming PvP mode that will put strategy in slaughters. No release window was mentioned, but the feature is said to be in the last stages of quality assurance so it should go live soon before the rest.

Finally, the State of Play for March explained that item images are causing the delay of the Grand Exchange Database. Development of the grand list of market price trends is still moving forward, and we can cross our fingers for a mid-April launch.
