Sakura Taisen confirmed for the DS
If you need one more reason for you to finally get that DS you’ve been thinking of getting, maybe this will seal the deal for you. Japan’s Gemaga magazine has revealed that Sakura Taisen will be made for the DS.
This was uncovered in the magazine’s interview with producer Ouji Hiroi, who mentioned that this DS game will be a dungeon RPG. It will also bring back those lovable characters for the three branches of Sakura Taisen‘s fighting groups: the Imperial Flower Branch, Paris Flower Branch and New York Flower Branch.
As it stands, there’s still no word as to whether or not we’ll be getting this DS version shipped to our shores, but Japan is scheduled to have it sometime next year. Keep your fingers crossed for that. In the meantime, the interview with Hiroi should bring to light some more information on Sakura Taisen for the DS, which will be on sale (the magazine, not the interview!) in Japan come May 30.
