Santa’s little elves: Patapon toys spreading Christmas spirit

They’re going to roll out their Patapon line some time this month: a Patapon plush doll and a handful of Patapon straps. I wouldn’t mind getting one myself. *wink wink* The unfortunate thing is, these items cost an arm and a leg (and an eye too, I suppose).

The unfortunate thing is, the plush dolls cost an arm and a leg (and an eye too, I suppose). The plush toys cost JPÂ¥ 3,990 a pop (around US$ 40). Heck, you can get the game itself cheaper – whether you want to get the first game, or import the second.

Now, if you’re not willing to part with that sort of money, there’s the cheaper (and smaller) alternative: the Patapon straps which cost JPÂ¥ 683 each (around US$ 8). Still a bit pricey for something you could keep dangling on your phone, but hey – it’s a novelty item, what can you expect?

Oh and one last thing. If you do decide to pick one of these items up, MedicomToy only ships around Japan. You’d have to find other means to transport the goods across the seas. (Don’t you just wish the Patapon plushies could just magically create their own Pata-tribe boat, eh? We all know what happened to their boat though.)
