Saying goodbye to the TGS 2006 booth babes

BabesIn some parts of the world, the art of greeting and entertaining guests is a dying art. I was raised in rural Iowa, so I know that there was a time when the whole family had to greet the guest, then walk the guest to the dining room, and when it’s all over, walk the guest to the front gate for a goodbye.

But the art lives on at game conventions. One thing that we keep hearing from people who were at TGS (and other game and trade shows) is the whole positive, happy, and vibrant mood. The companies and developers seem really happy to see you (and that’s the way it should be, because darn it, we’re also doing them a favor by lining up and buying their stuff, and the least they can do is treat us like kings when we go to a game convention, right?). Well, in this video from Game Trailers, the booth representatives look just as happy and bouncy!

They welcomed you to TGS. They walked you around their booths. That is the art of treating your guests with respect.

Yes, this is another booth babes video. We were planning to post an article that looks back at the TGS, sort of like a “Now that TGS is over, what can we say about it?” But it seems that a very common kind of video that gives a general overview of the TGS, the booths, the layout, the sights, and the goings-on is a booth babes video. Honestly, we looked all over for a booth competition video or a just-walking-around-and-looking-at-stuff video, but they’re more difficult to find and are quite short or blurry. So, even though it pains us, we brought you this video. A thousand heartfelt apologies.
