Scans of Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors
When you talk about great RPG games, you can’t help but mention Dragon Quest. The first game in the series debuted last 1986. Now fast forward to the present and we have the latest iteration of the game Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors for the Wii.
This game is being published by Square Enix and it looks pretty good judging from the scans from Famitsu. We believe the scans discuss a little bit about the combat system and a mini-game which has a rock-paper-scissors like mechanic. Since our resident Japanese translator hasn’t been seen in a while, those who can read Japanese are more than welcome to help the rest of the community out by sharing some facts they can extract from it.
One of the biggest come-ons of this game is the fact that combat will be handled through the use of the Wiimote. The combat system is relatively simple. Swing the controller and your character does a slash based on the direction of the swing. Alternately, if the opponent is far from you, you can cast a spell by aiming the Wiimote and pressing B. On defense, you have to aim the controller at the area of the television where the attack is coming from and press A to bring up your shield.
Dragon Quests Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors is slated to be released this year in Japan, and is expected to be coming out next year in the US. Be sure to check out the scans we have at the top of the article before you go, and be sure to keep checking back here for more updates on Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors.
