The official Linden blog has posted an update regarding the script-to-script email and networking issues encountered by devs and ops in Second Life. Before we go to the background information part, we’d like to inform you guys first that the aforementioned issues have now been resolved.

Anyway, here’s a short backgrounder on the issue. Over the weekend, Second Life developers and operators identified a problem with “scripts delivering email to other scripts.” According to the blog posting, the bug may have caused some in-world ads or vending objects to malfunction.

Some Second Life regions also experienced network issues through the weekend. We were gonna post a list of the affected regions, but then again, since the issues have been resolved, that would be kind of moot, don’t you think? If you’re curious to know which regions were affected, you can click on the “via” link below to find out.
