Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) Senior Producer Frank Simon recently posted an article and a couple of screenshots regarding the newly confirmed PSP title Secret Agent Clank over at the official PlayStation Blog. The game is being developed by High Impact Games and is scheduled for a 2008 release date.

Simon reminded everyone that Secret Agent Clank will focus mainly on the sidekick little robot Clank and its attempts to free Ratchet who is being accused of crimes he didn’t commit. Aside from its moves that can only be referred to as “Clank-fu”, Frank Simon mentioned the following features:

We also showed a new line of gadgets and devices and rhythm gameplay where Clank dodges and weaves through a laser field. One of my favorite sections so far is the boss fight with Jack where the player gets to play as Qwark. It’s about time that the big guy put his money where his mouth is.

The senior producer ended the post by saying that SCEA is very happy with the work of High Impact Games and its dedication to listen to the Ratchet & Clank fan base.
