Sega developer hostaged; refuses to talk on new game

We don’t know for sure if this video we found at YouTube was created by Sega, really, or if it was just from some overzealous fan wanting to dig out more info on an unnamed Sega release. But we’d have to say, regardless of its origin, this is one ingenious way to grab your attention.

The vid in question shows a supposed Sega developer wearing a bunny mask. The alleged kidnappers obviously want him to spill the beans on some certain info – as we theorized, on this mystery game in development. Some are guessing it could be NIGHTS on the Wii. But the developer ain’t budging, hence he gets his legs waxed, one of his bunny ears cut off, and had to experience excruciating pain from James Blunt’s song, “You’re Beautiful.”

From his tortured screams, we’re thinking “beautiful” is the last thing he’s feeling about himself at that time. Anyhow, this makes for a rather creative marketing scheme, and even if the Sega developer did not reveal anything substantial, it’s still good for a laugh. Here’s hoping Sega finally reveals what’s up in their sleeves soon, if only for the sake of the hostaged developer.
