Sega developer teams from U.S., Japan, Europe collaborating on Sonic Unleashed
We’ve been getting lots of rumors and updates about Sega‘s new Sonic Unleashed, and we still can’t take in what’s been leaked about the game. While you’re still trying to digest the idea of a brand-spankin’ new Sonic game in 3D, here are some new details to get you rolling. Read all about it in the full article.
We’ve been getting a whirlwind of updates and rumors about the upcoming Sonic Unleashed recently, and here’s some more to keep you off-balance in utter anticipation. According to website SEGA ON, Sonic Unleashed is actually a big-budgeted project…scratch that, a HUGELY budgeted project made in collaboration with the Sonic Team and other Sega development teams.
And how big, you ask? When SEGA ON mentioned the Sega developer teams involved, they referred to the several teams from across the world: Japan, U.S., and even Europe. The website also revealed their mission: “Rebuild the Sonic brand and prove it could work in 3D environments.”
Not bad, eh? It’s going to be no small feat, since the Sonic franchise was all about pure 2D fast-paced action in its heyday. Will Sega be able to successfully translate the much-loved 2D gameplay formula into 3D? We’re going to find out soon enough.
Stick with us as we get more updates! In the meantime, check out the picture above to have another (small) clue as to what the game’s storyline will be about.
