Sega: Japan delay doesn’t mean inferior versions for US/EU
Hold your horses, boys and girls! Yes, Japan will be getting a delay for Sega‘s Sonic Unleashed (PS3 and Xbox 360). Yes, it’s to improve the game’s quality. But no, it doesn’t mean we’re getting a “poorer version” of the game just because we’re getting it on time. Get your assurance after the jump.
A couple of days back, we posted news on Sega deciding to delay the release of Sonic Unleashed (PS3 and Xbox 360) in Japan so that they may improve the quality of the game.
Apparently, quite a good number of folks have been discussing this move in various forums, and have come to the conclusion that the other regions will be getting a “poorer version”.
To clarify this matter, the Brand and PR deps for Unleashed have released their own statement, saying that there is no cause for concern over the quality of the other region versions of the game. They said:
The difference in the international release dates is based on the sales strategy on the manufacturing schedule. There will be no quality difference between the North American/European/Asia release and the Japanese version. Please be assured we are doing our best to deliver a top quality experience to people all over the globe.
That should clear things up nicely, yes? So there, Japan will be getting a delay, but that doesn’t mean everyone else is getting shoddy versions of Sonic Unleashed, okay?
