Sega’s Rez played with the Wiimote and Nunchuk
Remember that psychedelic shooter Rez? Amidst rumors that it’ll be ported to the Wii (or at least a new version), irontiger over at YouTube decided to try out the gameplay of the shooter with a Wiimote anyway.
He’s playing the Dreamcast version and using his very own GlovePIE (Glove Programmable Input Emulator) script. He emulated Rez on his PC and used the Wiimote and Nunchuck. He can use either one, as the Nunchuk‘s joystick overrides the Wiimote’s motion-sensing. According to Tiger, he just tweaked with his Panzer Dragoon GlovePIE script to play Rez. Here are his notes from YouTube:
I made it to use either Wiimote motion or Nunchuk joystick control. I periodically unplug and replug the Nunchuk throughout the video to demonstrate. Because this is the Dreamcast version of the game run through emulation on the PC, I won’t be sharing the script or info on how to play it.
For those who aren’t really into Wii homebrew, you might as well wait for Rez for the Wii. If you wanna check out the Panzer Dragoon script, you can click the via link below. In the meantime, check out the video. Thanks for the tip, Tiger!
