Serena Williams vs Conan O’Brien: nearly cost 75k

Serena Williams - Image 1Well, you’ve probably seen the YouTube video of how Conan O’Brien pwned Serena Williams in tennis on Wii Sports. This is a bit of a follow-up on that, with a bit of a twist.

We’ve seen how some people can get carried away and lose grip of the Wiimotes, sending them flying. Now, Serena Williams – fresh from winning the Australian Open – was a good sport and played against Conan O’Brien on Wii Tennis.

After the game, however, the tennis star’s people reportedly called O’Brien to inquire about a missing earring.

The said earring was borrowed and apparently cost US$ 75,000. Thus ensued a frantic search of the studio – with the staff checking the footage of the Wii game to check where the missing half went. In the end, they found that the earring fell into Williams’ blouse pocket.

Whew.
