Short, but sweet: Soul Calibur 4’s debut trailer

Transcending history and the world, a tale of souls and swords eternally retold.

Any gamer who loves fighting knows that line, and any gamer who knows that line also knows that it’s time to grab those blades and sharpen them once again. There’s a new trailer out for the now-confirmed Soul Calibur 4 from Namco Bandai, and even if it’s a short trailer, there are some facts you can pick up from it.

For one thing, the game’s set for a 2008 release on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. More importantly, the trailer confirms three important staples of the game series are coming back: Nightmare, Mitsurugi, and Ivy (now with more revealing clothing). All bets are off on who else is joining the roster, but we’re hoping Voldo will be making an appearance, if only because he brings the sexy back.

Without further ado, here’s the trailer. Enjoy!
