A lot of people have been anxiously waiting for Climax Studios‘ Silent Hill: Origins. This prequel to the first game is said to delve into the mysterious, and undoubtedly dark past of the different locals that have become ingrained in the nightmares of all but the staunchest of gamers.

Anyway, we’re not here to talk about how freaky the game is. The latest rumor about this game is that it will have “achievements” like those found on the Xbox 360. In the options screen of the Silent Hill: Origins Demo, you’ll find a grayed-out option to access accolades. While it does sound like this rumor may be true, you have to consider that these accolades may be the cutscenes and artwork you could potentially unlock as you play.

Silent Hill: Origins is slated to be released this November 6 the U.S., and on October 26 in the UK. When it comes out, we’ll be able to either confirm or disprove this rumor so be sure to keep on checking back for updates.
